We all know how I go on about killing animals, so much to my surprise they did it again!
I don’t watch the news for a reason, and the killing of animals is the reason. Today I was watching as they told the world how they hate animals here in Miami. A mother whale beached itself (most likely sick) and the baby was swimming nearby. They “tried” to save the mother and when she past away, hold on people, they killed the baby. They said the whales live in the deep sea and can not live in captivity, so tell me, where is “Shamo”. They tried (in New York) the place a calf with a new pod (whale talk for baby with new group) and gave it a 50/50 chance to live, they tagged it and found it made a new family. So why can’t they do that here? I’ve come to a conclusion, here in Miami it’s kill or be killed. They said “if they bring the baby out to sea and leave it, it would end up being shark food (good thing in Miami, they can then drag the shark through the streets) (sorry, just a sick joke) but it’s it what nature had in mind? Think about the “food chain” if we found a pod and it does get attacked by a shark that’s life, but to kill it without giving it a chance that’s just… well Miami.
Now here is how petty Miami is, I go to a store about 2-3 blocks away from home. On my way, every night at about 5-6 o’clock I pass centipedes they make their way to the grass just before the street then walk back. There are hundreds of them and they don’t hurt anyone. About a week ago I was going to the store and saw them (as always) and on my way home I watched a man stepping on them, and I don’t mean walking by I mean stomping on them and killing these things for no reason other then to just kill something smaller then him. I asked him to stop and (as always in Miami) he didn’t speak English. So I shook my finger and pointed down at the “bugs” and said no. he walked away and he looked mad, oh well guess you can’t make everyone happy. Why did I protect the centipedes? They are one source of food for the birds, snakes, frogs, and other wildlife. So by killing them off you cut the food source for other animals, and besides, they can be good pets too.
After the news about the whale I had to take a walk, I needed to calm down. My wife told me something very sad that happened, a boat of Haitians were on their way here. The boat tipped over and a baby died, the people were (are) held in the detention center, now (6 months later) the mother and father are still there and the baby is in the morgue, they can’t keep the baby there and the parents can’t go get it and give it a proper burial. I’m sorry, I feel this is wrong on so many levels, but the one thing that REALLY gets my gut twisted is if it was a Cuban they would have had streets closed and the people would be marching down the street crying about Cuba.
Here is where I say, the opinion on this page is mine and no one at the server is held responsible for these views.
I’ve said it so many times and I’ll always say it, I love animals, but the one animal I hate is the human.
Thank you for reading the ranting of an animal lover.
Keep coming back, I’m sure I can get you to think more about the human race and how they are killing off their own world.
See you soon(I hope)
Your friend
“The animal lover”
