Big city or big trouble?

It happens again.

Another “ranch” was found with horses that were starving to death. The people left the country to go home and get money to feed the animals (home is Columbia) SPCA is “looking in to it”.

Why is this happening? Why are people doing this? How can someone from another country be allowed to buy animals and then not take care of them? This is happening more and more here in South Florida and what is being done to stop it? Nothing! There has been 4 “ranches” that the people didn’t feed the animals (mainly horses) and they say they don’t have the money to take care of them. Or the owner just walks away and no one can find them. Here’s a thought, why don’t the people that run the SPCA hire people to check these so called “ranches” on a regular bases so them can monitor what’s happening to the animals? It all comes down to what I always say, people are mean and have no right being on this planet. They don’t care for anyone but themselves. They don’t even care for their kids until something happens to them, then it’s the same old story, “my baby was a good kid. He/she never hurt anyone or did anything wrong” so where were you when your kid was in the street? Anyway, I go on and on about people and I’m one of them (sad to say, I’m human) I look around me and see people suffering and animals being hurt or killed and I get so disgusted with it. How can anyone out there say this is not what we do? I talk to people about this and they think I’m crazy (I am folks) I worry more about the animal life then human life and they ask why? I’ll let you in on what I’m about, but don’t tell anyone…OK?

I love animal and people about the same. I just love animals more. What I mean is, I feel for people that have problems that they can’t get help with. People that are sick and can’t get help. People that are hungry and don’t have money for food. The homeless hurt me. But if I see some person that has a mouth full of gold, gold chains around their neck and they drive a car that cost as much as a house asking for food stamps that kills me. If I meet (and I have) a person that just came to the U.S. and they own a condo and a townhouse and are on disability and still they complain (but nicely) about how the U.S. is no good, that kills me. Animals are different they don’t like people but will not go out of their way to hurt people. They don’t mind “sharing” the area with the people. They just want to be left alone so they can survive and move on with their lives. Yet we push them out of their homes and build homes that sit there with no human life in them. We build stores that never open. Why? I’ve watched my area grow to a big pile of brick and glass and no people. I’ve seen stores open and close and yet, no people. I’ve seen an area that had great wildlife growing and the next week flattened for a building and no one is in the build. You’re thinking, “so what?” “What’s the big deal?” “Why are you ranting about progress?” “We need to grow right?”

Where do we have to grow? We have a lot of nothing and that’s where we have been for awhile. If you add all the buildings in an area then add all the wildlife areas in the same area you will see the wildlife has no where to go. So we help them, we kill them off so we don’t get sick, our cars don’t get dirty, our grass stays green (no poop) and we are the must powerful animals in the area. Yeah, that’s what I call progress.

If mankind (two words that don’t belong together) wants to progress, we need to find a new way to do it. We need to start taking care of our people (homeless, sick, and hungry) as well as our wildlife. Build where a building was and leave the area around it alone. Put fences around areas that are “wildlife friendly”.

I’m starting to get angry right now, and need to stop writing. I feel so mad right now I can get into big trouble if I don’t stop.

So, be nice to each other and animals

Your friend and animal lover

Mike
