As I sat outside in the hot sun having a cigarette, the glistening beads of sweat running down my arms I realized why people (men and women) like to go to the beach. It’s not to cool down, it’s to look at the bodies on the beach with their oils and sweat shining off their well tanned bodies. (sounds like a romance novel) Then something caught my eye, I saw about 5 lizards jumping from a palm tree. I watched what they were doing and laughed. They’d climb the tree, then jump and start all over again. So I went over to see why and found a swarm of white flies (like a knat) they were having lunch. So why was I amazed at what I was watching? Think of it this way (side) a man jumping off a 3 story building after a sandwich. Than I watch the men do it again. (if they don’t get hurt) That’s why I was amazed. So I found another reason to respect the animal world, they are willing to risk death for a meal.

Pit Mix

Now, here the hot head topic for the day: killing a dog for doing it’s job!

This week a mix breed was “put down” after it bites a postal worker. The dog looked like a Pit Bull mix and was going for a walk with the owner when the postal worker walked up and the dog went after her.

First, the neighbor said the woman was bit last week by another dog 2 blocks away. Second, the dog “looked like a pit bull” Third, the man was with dog and a person was coming to attack the owner(in the dogs mind) Now, I don’t agree with putting down a dog if it’s healthy. I will NEVER put a dog down if it is protecting it’s owner, even if I’m the bit. I worked around dogs, and I’ve been bitten more then once so I can say it hurts but to kill an animal for a bit? Come on people! Again, would you “put down” a kid for biting someone? No! The dog was PROTECTING something all dogs do. Again, it LOOKED like a Pit bull so that means it’s OK to kill it. Look at the pictures about, one IS a pit bull and the other is a MIX. Maybe it’s me, but I don’t think they look the same. Then again, I am in Miami and they make up the rules as they go. Next stop, kill the birds that poop on your car.(don’t laugh, they’re stopping a Egret from nesting in the area because of that)

Well, I’m beginning to go off again on how stupid humans are so I’ll stop here.

Just two things more, be nice to ALL animals and be nice to (some) humans too
